TURMEPA celebrated its 30th anniversary in its ongoing journey to protect the seas. On October 31st, an unforgettable evening took place at Divan Kuruçeşme, hosted by Founding Honorary President Rahmi M. Koç and Chairman of the Board Şadan Kaptanoğlu. This special event brought together Turkey’s leading environmentally conscious organizations and prominent figures from the business world who are dedicated to combating marine pollution.
Also attending the celebration were Asaf Güneri, Honorary President and founding member of TURMEPA, and Arlin Nevruz, both of whom added further prestige to the evening.
During the event, a film highlighting TURMEPA's "Blue Journey" and over 100 projects carried out over the past 30 years was met with great enthusiasm. The association’s 30-year history, along with the excitement for upcoming projects, was shared through the voices of Rahmi M. Koç, Şadan Kaptanoğlu, and former Presidents Eşref Cerrahoğlu and Tezcan Yaramancı. The launch of the new TURMEPA 30th Anniversary boat was announced, and a new collaborative project in Hatay was introduced, focusing on environmental education, coding workshops, and marine education.
Hosted by Simge Fıstıkoğlu, the evening also featured the presentation of plaques of appreciation to institutions and key supporters who have long contributed to the association and its major initiatives.
TURMEPA extends its thanks to the event sponsors—Ford Turkey, Burla Makina, Selpak, and Setur—and supporters Kavaklıdere Şirketler Grubu, Beylerbeyi İçecek, and Pernod Ricard Turkey for their continued commitment.
The journey to protect the seas continues, and TURMEPA remains dedicated to making strong strides forward.
