The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Panama-flagged bulk carrier Anadolu S, owned by a Turkish company, was targeted by a missile attack by the Houthis off the coast of Yemen. The Ministry condemned the attack, stating that the vessel was struck while sailing off Yemen's coast.
The statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is as follows:
"On November 20, 2024, a missile attack was carried out by the Houthis against the Anadolu S, a Panama-flagged bulk carrier owned by a Turkish company, while it was navigating off the coast of Yemen. We strongly condemn this attack.
Necessary steps are being taken to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents."
