A terrorist attack occurred at TUSAŞ in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye.

It was announced that this attack was carried out by the terrorist organization PKK. In the terrorist attack, 5 people were martyred and 14 others were injured. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated that the identities of the 2 terrorists killed are not yet known.

In a press conference held after the attack, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated:

*“Dear members of the press, unfortunately, a terrorist attack occurred at 15:26 at the pride of our domestic and national defense industry in Kahramankazan, Ankara.

*“As soon as this attack was reported, our gendarmerie and police forces quickly arrived at the scene and intervened. Our security forces neutralized 2 terrorists.

*“Unfortunately, we have 4 martyrs. There are 14 injured, and the condition of 3 of them is critical.

*“May our martyrs rest in peace, and I wish a speedy recovery to the injured. May God reunite them with their loved ones as soon as possible.

*“We condemn terrorism. Identification efforts are ongoing, and we will share this information with you as soon as it is available. I want to express my condolences to TUSAŞ. I have kept our President informed about the operation here from the very beginning until the terrorists were neutralized.

*“We feel great sorrow and we will act with determination, without hesitation, against anyone who sets an ambush against our national unity, solidarity, and brotherhood, whether they are a terrorist organization or an organized crime group.”

Mansur Yavaş: May we be strong

Ankara Mayor Mansur Yavaş expressed his deep sorrow regarding the conflict and terrorist attack at the TUSAŞ facilities in Ankara.

United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned the terrorist attack against Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ).

UN Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq made a written statement to AA reporter regarding the attack. Haq stated, "The Secretary-General condemns this attack against civilians," and conveyed the Secretary-General's condolences to the families of the deceased. 

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres issued a written statement regarding the terrorist attack. Guterres strongly condemned the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ and extended his condolences to the families of the victims.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte condemned the terrorist attack on the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) facility in Kahramankazan. 

In a post on X, he stated, "The news of casualties from Ankara is alarming. NATO stands with our ally Turkey. We strongly condemn all forms of terrorism and are closely monitoring the developments."
