A drug raid was carried out on the Liberian-flagged dry cargo ship named Berge Torre, which was anchored off Yumurtalık in Hatay's İskenderun Bay.
The operation announced by the Minister of Interior, Ali Yerlikaya, involved divers under the sea and Narkogüç teams on the dry cargo ship named Berge Torre.
51 kilos and 750 grams of cocaine were seized on the ship. 26 crew members were detained.
In his statement regarding the incident, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya said, "The statements of 26 suspicious individuals, including the ship captain, assistant captains and crew, are being taken. I want our dear nation to know that we will not tolerate poison traffickers. Our ports are under close surveillance."
